A really useful alarm applet for GNOME, which works well (for me at least!) under Ubuntu. Requires a little bit of command-line to get working but all necessary commands are provided, including the apt-get command for the dependencies. Allows you to specify any sound file for the alarm, and runs as a panel applet.
